Prabhas’ Big feet no fit for Nepal’s shoes

One of the reasons why Rajamouli chose Prabhas as his epic hero is because of his height and physique to look well built and strong enough to climb mountains in the backdrop of waterfalls. Those rock climbing scenes were pivotal to the story. So Prabhas had to be trained with professionals to do those sequences.

Rajamouli had to rope in professional rock climbing experts from Bangalore and also order for rock climbing shoes from Nepal for his team. While everyone got their perfect size of shoes, Prabhas’ big feet didn’t fit into those shoes. Producers had to order from US especially for Prabhas.

Training Prabhas in rock climbing happened at various stages. Three trainers from Bangalore, one of which is an Everest climber Naresh and assistant instructor Sudhindra helped Prabhas to understand and practice nuances in climbing rocks in the combination of waterfalls. So first training happened in Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills area in Hyderabad.

Next scenic and high Athirapally waterfalls in Kerala were selected to train Prabhas and shoot some important sequences for the film.
