Prasad’s IMAX Is No Longer IMAX

Prasad’s IMAX has always been an iconic location for film lovers. This facility has the biggest cinema screen in Hyderabad. But from now on, Prasad’s IMAX can no longer be referred to as an IMAX theatre. It has been renamed Prasad’s Multiplex.

The reason behind the name change is that Prasad’s has now stopped using IMAX projection technology. This is a result of the digitization of the whole filming process and as well as content delivery. Following the onset of the digital format project, IMAX projection has been becoming increasingly complex.

Prasad’s Multiplex management has decided that IMAX projection is no longer a viable prospect. So, there will be no IMAX projection at Prasad’s henceforth.

The said big screen will be used henceforth as well. But it will screen the normal digitized version instead of the IMAX version. The big-screen experience will continue minus the IMAX viewing experience.
