Happening Telugu producer, Srinivasa Chitturi has developed an interesting knack. He appears to be fascinated by Tamil filmmakers and his filmography implies the same.
Of late, Srinivasa has worked with Tamil directors like Lingusamy for Warriorr, and Venkat Prabhu for Custody. Now, he has lined up another Tamil director, say reports.
Srinivasa is set to bankroll Nani’s upcoming film that will be directed by another Tamil director Sibi Chakravarthy, who had previously directed Sivakarthiyan’s Don. This project will commence the shoot soon.
The producer’s fascination with Tamil directors is now haunting Tollywood followers as they are pointing out the fact that both Warriorr and Custody were outright disasters. They are unable to come to terms with why this producer is still sticking with Tamil directors despite facing so many adverse results.
That said, Sibi showed decent promise with Don and the film fared well at the box office, unlike the other two directors Venkat Prabhu and Lingusamy who were horribly out of form.
Apart from this, Srinivasa has another project – Boyapati and Ram Pothineni’s Skanda, which, as it happens, is one of his very few films with a Telugu director. This mass actioner is releasing on the 15th of September.
