Back in 2018, the Tollywood drug case caught the attention of the Telugu states. Eventually, the case subsided and the clean chit was accorded to the individuals who were investigated in the same, including, Puri Jagannadha, yesteryear hero Tarun and others.
Now, in a new update, the drug test report of Puri Jagannadh and hero Tarun is made public, after all these years.
The Forensic Science Lab of Telangana took the samples to identify if the two of them had taken any drugs and the results came back negative. The FSL examination report concluded that no traces of drugs were found in their bodies. The case has now been dismissed by the court in view of the drug test reports that substantiated that the two individuals who were earlier investigated hadn’t taken any drugs.
On a related note, the film industry is still occasionally riddled by these drug cases. Only recently, a small-time actress named Lavanya was arrested by the police for carrying 4 grams MDMA. It is suspected that she had sold drugs to noted Tollywood celebrities and the investigation is underway now.
