Puri Jagannadh is one of those rare directors who has made some of the best and also some of the worst films. His last film Liger was an outright disaster, not just commercially but also critically.
Puri has delivered worse disasters than Liger. But the damage that Liger has caused him personally and professionally is unmatched. Besides its box office failure, the buyers’ fiasco, the money laundering case, the interrogations by the ED team, etc have caused irreparable damage to Puri’s brand.
Puri used to share his thoughts on YouTube which he termed as Puri Musings. It was a big hit with the audience. But for the past many months, Puri didn’t post any Puri Musings. But after a long time, he posted two episodes in that series in the last two days.
It seems Puri is trying his best to return to normalcy by leaving behind all that happened in the last 3-4 months. Let’s hope he comes back with a vengeance and deliver what he is best at! Entertaining and memorable films.
