Kissik: Could Sreeleela Beat Samantha’s Hotness?

At a grand promotional event for Pushpa: The Rule in Chennai, the much-awaited song Kissik was unveiled. The track aims to repeat the magic of the iconic Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava from Pushpa: The Rise.

Devi Sri Prasad composed the song, with vocals by Subhalakshmi. Allu Arjun and Sreeleela’s chemistry looks hot, enhanced by vibrant visuals and an ensemble of background dancers.

It’s too early to say if Kissik will recreate the magic of Oo Antava or not. The song is decent and catchy. It grows on you with multiple hearings.

The lyrics are full of double entendres, which suit such item songs. The choice of singer Subhalakshmi is a surprise, but she has done a good job.

The choreography by Ganesh seems basic in the lyrical video, but we have to see the full song to judge it.

Sreeleela has done her best, and she looks like a million bucks, but one has to say she doesn’t match the hotness of Samantha.

Some audience members felt that Samantha was for grownups, whereas Sreeleela is for the nibba-nibbis on social media.

In the Hindi version, while people are appreciating Allu Arjun and Sreeleela’s dances, the lyrics are being hailed as extremely bad and vulgar. The “Thappad Maarungi” bit sounds weird and unintentionally funny instead of sexy. They are not used to such explicit lyrics.

We have to wait and see how the song is used and placed in the film and what kind of impact it will have on the narrative.

As of now, the Kissik song is good, but it looks doubtful that it will add more buzz to the film.
