The Third wave in India has made a complete mess of release dates of the biggies. SS Rajamouli has blocked two release dates – March 18th and April 28th for his RRR. There are a few problems for March 18th and April 28th is likely to be the date. Radhe Shyam makers may have indirectly finalized the same.
Buzz is that Radhe Shyam is looking at the March 11th release. No way RRR can release on March 18th because they will ensure a minimum of two weeks gap. That means March 18th option is done and dusted for RRR and we are looking at April 28th only.
The official announcement of the Radhe Shyam date will come in February. When it happens, it will also clarify the release date of RRR. All the other big films in Tollywood will plan their release once these two films have confirmed their arrival.
Corona cases in the country are indicating a downtrend and we may see them coming under control by February 15th. We have already seen states easing restrictions and the industry folks expect normalcy by the last week of February. After losing Sankranthi, Summer is very important for the industry to survive.
