Rajamouli Created 150 Cr Gap in the Industry

He did absolutely nothing for the film while it is in the making and only gave his branding for pan-Indian release and he harvested rich benefits from him.

Karan Johar candidly agreed that ‘Baahubali’ had created a huge gap, a gap of 150 crores in the Hindi Film Industry. Post ‘Baahubali’, the movies that are made on a big scale like Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavat’ and Amitbah-Aamir combo ‘Thugs of Hindostan‘ failed to even start a debate against Baahubali. He boldly confessed that ‘Baahubali’ is the game changer and the crossover film that broke through the Bollywood circuit with a thunderous business.

“The biggest Hindi film is the film that was made in Telugu. The biggest business in the Hindi circuit alone was Rs. 510 crore plus that created a huge gap of Rs. 150 crores between the next Bollywood blockbuster,” confessed Karan Johar. We feel happy when Karan Johar reveals that he has been watching Telugu movies after his association with Rajamouli and his high esteem for the movies made in South and saying that the South Film Industry is superior to Bollywood in so many ways.
