Rajini Called Me for 2.0, Shankar Rejected

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is doing the antagonist role in Shankar’s upcoming sci-fi thriller ‘2.0’. But senior actor R. Sarathkumar says that superstar Rajnikanth wanted him to do the role but it was Shankar who rejected the senior actor.

The reason is the film’s reach. As Rajinikanth is playing the main lead, naturally the film would need an international appeal with big stars. With this reason, Shankar rejected the senior actor as he was thinking of casting another actor. Now, we know, who that actor is.

The actor is open to doing different kinds of roles and even negative roles if they are crucial in the movie. Sharath Kumar had been active in political circles till recently. But, he is now back to movies and doing a film alongside music director turned actor GV Prakash Kumar.
