There had been reports in the media that Karnataka MLA Ashok Kainy wanted to produced biopic of Tiger of Mysore Tipu Sultan and he wants Rajnikanth to play the lead role in the film. The news isn’t official yet, but a Hindu outfit based in Tamil Nadu is already requesting the superstar not to accept the role.

According to them, history says that Tipu Sultan attacked Tamilians during the rule and also responsible for the migration of Tamil legendary actor and former Chief Minister MGR family’s migration to Palakkad. So they opine that Rajnikanth must decline the offer which would portray him as a freedom fighter.
Though the superstar has all the right to accept or reject the offer, it’s very obvious that the superstar would have to face the wrath of the Tamilians. There are times when Rajnikanth’s Marathi background was brought into forefront whenever there had been some controversies arising. The most interesting thing is, Rajni isn’t approached for the role yet.
