At the lively audio launch of Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s movie ‘Lal Salaam’ in Chennai on January 26, Rajinikanth, in his unique style, shared thoughts on religion, Hinduism, Sanatan, Bhagavad Gita, and more.
Rajinikanth began his speech by offering condolences for the recent demise of Ilaiyaraaja’s daughter, Bhavatharini, and Captain Vijayakanth. He also addressed the controversy surrounding his speech at the Jailer event in July 2023, where he talked about the controversial lyrics of the song “Hukum,” believed by some to be aimed at actor Vijay.
In that speech, Rajinikanth used a metaphor to express his point, saying, “In the world of birds, a crow disturbs everyone. An eagle, however, remains undisturbed. When a crow bothers an eagle, the eagle doesn’t react; it simply moves on to the next stage.”
This analogy conveyed the idea that a superior force, like an eagle, doesn’t get bothered by the actions of a crow. This led to a flurry of trolling from Vijay’s fans, disturbed by Rajini’s indirect dig at their idol.
In his latest speech at the Lal Salaam event, Rajinikanth clarified, “Many misunderstood my ‘Crow and Eagle’ story as an attack on Vijay. It saddens me that people see it as a competition. Both of us have stated that we’re unique in our own ways. Vijay has risen from a small start to a huge star, entering politics and engaging in social welfare. I am always supportive of him. Please, let’s not bring up such misunderstandings again. I just wanted to make this clear.”
