The promotional campaign for Global Star Ram Charan’s highly anticipated period sports drama, Peddi, has reached a fever pitch ahead of its worldwide theatrical debut next week. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film is generating immense trade traction following a technical media brief by ace cinematographer Rathnavelu.
The veteran technician revealed that the visual design meticulously recreates 1980s Vizianagaram. Since modern-day urban upgrades have completely altered the North Andhra region, the production team collected rare 40-year-old photographs to organically construct massive, historically accurate sets.
Iconic structures like the historic Vizianagaram Clock Tower, ancient neighborhood streets, and the town’s heritage sugar factory were entirely rebuilt to lock the period mood. Rathnavelu emphasized that the film features two massive high-intensity highlights, a raw wrestling match and a night cricket tournament, that will deliver major theatrical highs.
