Ram Charan delivered the biggest blockbuster of his career in the form of RRR and things have not been going smoothly for him ever since. The debacles of Acharya and Game Changer are still fresh in the memory as Charan is looking to make a strong comeback with Peddi.
But agonisingly enough, even Peddi is hitting speed bumps ever so frequently. The film had got postponed multiple times already, and there is still no clarity on when it would be releasing.
Charan had been working extremely hard on this project as he had undergone a significant physical makeover and remained very committed to the same. He did not even announce a new project after Peddi as he is so very wholely invested in this Buchi Babu directorial.
A few murmurs in the industry indicate that Charan could be frustrated with the extreme delay in the project as he had spent nearly a year and half already, and there is still no clarity on when it would be completed.
For a star of Charan’s stature, every single month overspent on a project is of great distress. He has some of the biggest directors in Indian cinema, prepared to work with him, but he still committed to work with Buchi Babu. So these extreme dealers in the production must not be a sweet thing for Charan at a fundamental level.
Buchi himself is a one film old director, so he would obviously be lacking in experience. But what is for certain is that he would be giving his everything for this project as it’s his golden ticket to the elite league.
At the end of this prolonged weight, the crucial outcome must be that the film should strike a chord with the audience and provide reprieve to Charan. If this box is ticked, all the frustrations and apprehensions will vanish.
