Ram Charan & Shankar: Rajamouli Or Koratala?

Ram Charan’s career is going through a bitter-sweet phase right now. After receiving tremendous acclaim for Rangasthalam, he was panned severely for his next Vinaya Vidheya Rama. Just when he got international recognition for his superlative act in RRR, the disastrous fate of Acharya brought him down a bit.

Now Ram Charan’s next with Shankar is keenly awaited by fans and anti-fans equally. Director Shankar usually picks up novel subjects and then casts an extraordinary actor who delivers an unforgettable performance.

Kamal Haasan in Bharateeyudu, Vikram in Aparichithudu, and Rajini in Robot are some examples. Shankar mostly hasn’t worked with stars that are still a bit raw in their skills.

Ram Charan is not a very mature actor when it comes to histrionics. He needs a director who will extract good work from him. If he gets a good director who can channelize his talent, he can deliver a Rangasthalam or RRR, and if some director doesn’t know how to project him, he will deliver a VVR or Acharya (performance wise).

We will have to wait and see what kind of performance Shankar will extract from Charan and if he will turn out to be a Rajamouli or a Koratala Siva for Charan. But, if Shankar gets the best from Charan it will be a huge boost to his career.
