A full blown controversy is shaping up in Bollywood as Dhurandhar hero Ranveer Singh is facing a significant corrective measures from Farhan Akhtar.
A film Federation named has imposed an indefinite ban on Ranveer and producer Farhan Akhtar is demanding ₹45 from Ranveer for stepping out of Don 3 after extensive pre production expenditure.
In the meanwhile, Ranveer Singh has received the support of controversial Telugu film maker Ram Gopal Varma, who has a strong opinion on this matter.
Varma who had been blown away by Ranveer’s performance in the film and had been speaking highly of the Bollywood actor has come to his rescue now.
Ram Gopal Varma is backing Ranveer Singh and calling out FWICE for their outdated power plays. He says this ban is just a joke and not really about protecting anyone in the industry. It’s just a union flexing its muscles. Most workers don’t even know what’s really going on, he says.
On the top level, it might be good to see a Telugu Director backing Bollywood Hero in the ongoing controversy. But at the end of the day, it is the producer who would have spent significant amount of money and it is a financial dispute which needs to be settled at his own discretion.
Perhaps Ranveer’s point of view is that he does not want to be a part of this film after delivering a historic blockbuster like Ranveer. In this scenario, Ranveer is turning out to be the people’s hero, thanks to the fame attended through Dhurandhar. But the producer, Farhan Akhtar will obviously have documentation to prove his point.
