Ustaad Ram Pothineni has been struggling for quite a few years to score a big hit at the box office. His latest film Skanda has also failed to give any boost to his career.
After playing the lover boy for over a decade, Ram scored a kickass blockbuster with iSmart Shankar. Despite average content, Puri’s mass storytelling and Mani Sharma’s music took the film to another level.
From A centers to B and C centers, Mani Sharma’s music was a rage. He scored an exceptional BGM as well which he could not repeat again since then.
Ram, who meddled with all kinds of roles in the past, doesn’t carry a specific image even today. For the past few years, he has been trying hard to get the image of a mass hero. He has been doing heavy films like The Warriorr and Skanda. Though he has been giving his 100%, the content isn’t supporting him.
Ram is next coming up with Double Ismart with Puri Jagannadh and Mani Sharma once again. If Ram has to score a big hit this time, then these two have to deliver big, big time.
The writer and director in Puri Jagannadh, who is at his career’s lowest, has to somehow pull out a miracle from his hat and Mani Sharma has to deliver music that is groundbreaking and also extremely mass-friendly.
Even if one of them fails, then Ram would be staring at another failure. As of now, the future of Ram’s career rests in the hands of Puri and Mani Sharma.
