Ramayana Day 3 Promising: Massive BO Targets Revealed

Ramayana has collected around Rs. 125 crores net in Hindi in its first three days. While this is a decent total, the opening weekend has been below expectations for a film of this scale. The pre-Diwali period has affected its business, and the next few days will be crucial.

The film collected around Rs. 45 crores net on Thursday and Rs. 35 crores on Friday. Saturday brought a strong jump, with collections reaching approximately Rs. 48 crores. This is a nearly 45% increase over Friday, showing a good upward trend.

Sunday could be affected by Diwali celebrations and Lakshmi Puja, when business usually comes to a standstill in many centers. However, Monday will be the real test. The core Hindi audience across the Hindi markets is expected to return to theatres in a massive way, and its response will decide the film’s box-office direction.

Interestingly, Ramayana is performing exceptionally well in the South. Its regional versions have collected around Rs. 42 crores net so far. They are on course to surpass the lifetime collections of blockbusters like Jawan and Dhurandhar 2 in the South soon.

The overseas performance is another BIG positive. The film collected around $7 million on Saturday alone, joining Baahubali 2 as the only Indian films to achieve this mark in a single day overseas.

Ramayana Hindi Verdict Targets in India:

Considering the reported Rs. 2,000 crores budget for Part 1 and a three-week free run, these are the expected Hindi box-office verdict targets, according to Hindi trade experts:

– Below 600 crores net: Disaster
– Below 700 crores net: Flop
– Below 800 crores net: Average
– 1000 crores net: Above Average
– 1100 crores net: Hit
– 1200 crores net: Clear Hit
– 1300 crores net: Super Hit
– 1400 crores net: Blockbuster
– 1500 crores net: All-Time Blockbuster

With such a huge budget and expectations, Ramayana needs to create history in the Hindi market. Its first three days are not enough to judge its final outcome. Monday’s collections will show whether the film can make the kind of box-office run expected from a project of this scale.
