The world of Allari Naresh’s Ramba Oorvasi Menaka is anything but ordinary. The newly released trailer, unveiled by King Nagarjuna, presents a bizarre yet entertaining setup in which three heavenly beauties enter the human world and leave one ordinary man to deal with the consequences.
Suri’s persistent prayers bring Ramba, Oorvashi and Menaka down to Earth. His happiness does not last long, as the three apsaras lose their divine powers upon reaching him. Suri is then forced to handle a string of problems created by their presence.
The trailer’s strength lies in how the director turns this unusual premise into a series of comic situations. The chemistry between Allari Naresh and Naresh VK is particularly entertaining, with their exchanges generating several laughs.
More than anything else, the trailer belongs to Allari Naresh. He displays superb comic timing throughout and never appears to be forcing the humour. Surabhi is introduced as his girlfriend. Vennela Kishore adds his own brand of fun as Indra, and Naresh VK makes the most of his humorous character. Rashi Singh, Vishnupriya and Prisha Singh complete the trio of apsaras with suitable screen presence.
Raam Reddy’s camera work brings vibrancy to the visuals, while Chaitan Bharadwaj’s upbeat music reinforces the playful tone. Produced by Razesh Danda and Nimmakayala Prasad under Annapurna Studios and Hasya Movies, the production values look great for the genre.
Judging by the trailer, Ramba Oorvasi Menaka is a riotous mix of fantasy and fun. The trailer has set the ball rolling for the movie which is scheduled for release on September 4th.
