Real boxer roped in to get real look

It’s very rare that real sports persons are roped in play the characters to give authentic look. But a real time national level boxer Ritika Singh was roped in for Madhavan’s upcoming bilingual ‘Saala Khadoos’ ( Irudhi Suttru in Tamil). She was one among the 100 hundred real boxers auditioned for the role.

Ritika Singh was selected because it wouldn’t be easy for a non sports-personality to do the dare devil stunts with the ease of a sports woman. Madhavan is doing a straight Tamil film after a long hiatus.

Sudha Kongara Prasad is directing the movie in both the languages. Big producer-director Rajkumar Hirani is producing the film in Hindi. Though the venture started as a medium budget film, with the entry of Hirani into this venture, it became a big one.
