Reason Why Amitabh Rejected Balayya

Balakrishna was very excited about ‘Raithu’ to be directed by Krishna Vamsi. But, he was hell bent on roping in Amitabh Bachchan for a crucial role in the film. RGV mediated the talks between Amitabh and Balkrishna.

However, Amitabh Bachchan didn’t take the offer. In a recent interview, Krishna Vamsi revealed the actual reason for the rejection. He was told by RGV that Amitabh Bachchan had apprehensions because it was a regional movie and he can’t take the burden of learning a new language Telugu and be conscious if he speaking it right or not.

If this is the real reason, then will Amitabh Bachchan play the crucial role in Chiranjeevi’s next, a historical film based on the life of the freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy? Chiru’s film is trilingual and will be released in Hindi too and will come with a huge budget comparatively. So, let’s see if the reason explained by RGV to Krishna Vamsi is real or just an eyewash.
