Record Deal For Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger

Vijay Deverakonda‘s Liger appears to have struck gold with the non-theatrical rights. The film’s digital streaming, satellite, and audio rights are said to have been sold for a record price.

According to reports, Liger‘s audio rights were fetched by Sony while the post theatrical OTT rights are sold to Disney+ Hotstar. The satellite rights are held by Star Network.

Liger had been in the making for a long while, but that hasn’t affected the business prospects and the lucrative deals for the non theatrical rights proves the same. This goes on to show the fame Vijay Deverakonda enjoys now and also the Puri Jagannadh factor might have played a crucial role.

Liger is announced for release on August 25. It is Vijay’s maiden pan-India film. Vijay will start promoting the film aggressively as the release date approaches.
