Telugu film Kamina, which is the remake of Hindi film Johnny Gaddar is releasing today, and its director Lakshmmikanth Chenna says that it’s not easy to make remakes as one needs to be careful about not copying frame-to-frame.
He says he struggled a lot with remake as the original had neither songs or any comedy. However, the director has chosen to include songs and humour to ensure that the film suit’s the native sensibility. He says its not easy to draw audiences to cinemas to watch a Telugu film without all these toppings.
He says the the film is not a copy, but has been inspired by the Hindi version. He said that he used only the theme of the original and made changes to remake to woo Telugu audiences.
