RRR registered a 25% jump in the collections as it made Rs 24 crores nett on its second day. This is the highest single-day collection for any Indian film following the Covid third wave. The film’s 2nd-day tally has beaten the likes of recent Bollywood hits Kashmir Files and Sooryavanshi. The fact that RRR beat an Akshay Kumar starrer (Sooryavanshi) in the Hindi circuit is intriguing.
The good part is that RRR is on pace to register a solid tally of Rs 30 crores nett on its first Sunday. If that is the case, the film will have a Rs 70+ crores nett opening weekend, which will be the best opening for any Indian film in 2022.
Trade analysts now opine that if RRR holds well in its second week, the film might well end up collecting over Rs 150 crores nett at the very least.
