RRR on OTT: What’s the Exact Deal?

RRR is a film that everyone was waiting for eagerly. The manner in which the period drama has opened to solid collections has made the trade trade happy across industries as the film is doing exceptionally well in non-Telugu languages as well.

The Rajamouli drama will be out on two streaming platforms. While Hindi version will be on Netflix, regional languages will stream on Zee5.

As per the plan, the Hindi version of RRR will be out only post three months of its release. That means the film will come somewhere around June 25th or so roughly.

But for the Telugu version, the plans are different as the film will be out after two months of its release. That means the Telugu and other southern versions will be out around May 25th or so.

So much money has been paid for grabbing the rights of these films. As the makers were quite clear that the film will at least be in theaters for two months, they have planned the deals in the above said manner. Only time will tell when these films will come out in the first place.

For now, RRR is ruling the box office and it’s an event film can be enjoyed on the big screens. So, people are really not bothered about the OTT release at this time.
