Rupee deprecation upset producers!

Rupee hit a new all time low today and ended up at 68.80 against American Dollar. This is highest ever in the history of India and is most likely to increase inflation. But this will not only effect common man, Film producers are also suffering as a result of this.

The production costs for shooting abroad is going up. All the big star movies go abroad for shooting of their films. They will have to pay the local artists, guides, and location fees in the respective local currencies. And as a result of Rupee depreciation, they have to shell out more money for less dollars. On the other side, artists and technicians who are shooting abroad are also disappointed as they have to shell more money for shopping abroad.
