Did Sai Pallavi Reject Prabhas for Dhanush?

Following the blockbuster success of Amaran, Sai Pallavi is set to reunite with director Rajkumar Periyasamy. She has joined Dhanush’s 55th film, tentatively titled D55. The makers officially announced the project this evening, creating strong buzz online.

From the day D55 was announced, speculation suggested Sai Pallavi as the female lead. Reports also hinted that Mammootty would play an important role. These assumptions quickly gained traction across social media platforms.

Confusion arose when the D55 team revealed that Sreeleela had joined the cast. Many assumed Sai Pallavi had been replaced. However, the team later confirmed that Sai Pallavi is also part of the film, leading to widespread celebration.

Earlier, reports claimed Sai Pallavi was approached for the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD after Deepika Padukone exited the project. Sources later stated she declined the offer. The decision was reportedly due to her commitment to the Pan-Indian film Ramayana.

After the D55 confirmation, some questioned how Sai Pallavi managed dates alongside Ramayana. This led to claims that she rejected the Prabhas film to prioritise working with Rajkumar Periyasamy and Dhanush. These discussions continue to trend online.

Many fans have praised her decision to choose D55. They cite the success of Amaran as a major turning point in her Kollywood career. Rajkumar Periyasamy is also known for writing strong roles for female characters.

Dhanush and Sai Pallavi are reuniting for the first time since Maari 2. While the film underperformed, the song Rowdy Baby became a global phenomenon. It crossed over 1.5 billion views on YouTube, raising expectations for D55.

It remains to be seen how D55 shapes up and whether it meets audience expectations. The film could further strengthen Sai Pallavi’s successful run in Kollywood. Fans are keenly awaiting more updates.
