Bollywood actor Salman Khan is taken into custody by the police after the court pronounced its verdict in the hit and run case. Actor Salman Khan has been found guilty by the court and the quantum of punishment has been decided as five years after the court heard the final argument from the prosecution and defense.

The prosecution has argued that Salman should be given the highest punishment to set an example as he is most followed celebrity in India. People should be made aware of seriousness of the issue, the crime that is being committed. The defense on the other hand asked the court to consider all the charity work and humanity that has been displayed by the star showing his good nature.
Salman Khan is reportedly being taken into Arthur Road jail today and would be later moved to a different prison. Meanwhile as we had previously updated a bail petition can be filed only in the Bombay High Court and it would be in vacation time in few days. Apparently the lawyers have only three days time to get the bail or Salman could be in prison till August.
Almost entire Bollywood has come out in its support for the actor and feel that the actor has got enough mental harassment in the last 13 years and hence the punishment is unjustified. Do you agree with their view?

Phew! That was very quick. Salman Khan who has been committed for 5 years imprisonment has been released on bail already. It is however for two days only and one has to wait and see what kind of future course the actor and his defense lawyer would take.
