Samantha Was Ready To Quit, Then Raj Stepped In

Samantha Ruth Prabhu was actually thinking of quitting acting. The actress has now opened up about a phase when she felt she had reached the point of walking away from films for good.

This happened while she was shooting for Citadel: Honey Bunny. Samantha was dealing with a difficult phase and did not want the entire team to keep waiting for her. She even emailed the team about her decision and had made peace with the idea of leaving acting behind.

Raj Nidimoru, however, did not see things the same way. Samantha said Raj had more confidence in her than she had in herself. His support on the sets gave her the push to continue when she was ready to call it quits.

That decision also changed what came next. Samantha eventually returned to acting with Maa Inti Bangaaram, while also taking up production. She had once planned to stay behind the camera, but Raj’s confidence helped keep her in front of it.
