Sankranthi Special: Ramya Krishna’s Mixed Bag

After the portrayal of an iconic character like Shivagami in ‘Baahubali’, the expectations on the roles essayed by Ramya Krishna post ‘Baahubali’ are high and Suriya’s ‘Gang‘ was promoted claiming that Ramya has a crucial role in the movie. Did she make an impact as advertised in the Tamil circles?

To be frank, she indeed has got a crucial role which has screen presence on par with the hero of the movie, Suriya. ‘Gang’ is the remake of Bollywood hit movie ‘Special 26’ with a few changes. In the original, Ramya Krishna’s character was played by Anupam Kher.

But, it’s sad to see an actress like Ramya Krishna trying to imitate Anupam Kher and his body language, even. For those who didn’t watch the original and don’t know about Anupam Kher’s character, her portrayal may look a bit different. But for those, who watched the Bollywood movie, it was odd. Anyway, it’s a mixed bag from Ramya Krishna for the audiences.
