As is known, there are multiple theatrical outings including Guntur Kaaram, Eagle, Saindhav, Naa Saami Ranga and Hanuman are set for release this Sankranthi season.
The producers’ council is evidently concerned about the multiple releases this Sankranthi. There are usually 3 or possibly 4 mainstream outings during Sankranthi. But this time, there are 5 notable films.
Dil Raju, who spearheaded a meeting with the producers to try and convince them to skip the Sankranthi clash, with is for the better good.
“We spoke with the producers. We want all films to get equal justice. Guntur Kaaram is a big film and it is certain to release during the festival season. If any of the other producers decide to go back and opt out of Sankranthi season, the council will take the initiative to secure them a solo release whenever they want to arrive later.” Dil Raju said.
Dil Raju said he pulled out Family Star from Sankranthi as the schedules weren’t flitting. “If any producer decides to pull back now, we will try and secure them a solo release date later.”
But there are just two weeks to go for the Sankranthi releases so the decision should be taken rather quickly. Dil Raju said they have till 28 December for any of the producers to pull out their film. But will any of the producers approve Dil Raju’s proposal? We shall wait and see.
