Okay to Serve Divorce Papers Via FB

When one of the married partners want to serve his/her spouse with a divorce notice and if the other partner is trying everything dodging visits, taking calls and unavailable for communication, what would the one who wants divorce inevitably do? Here is one 26-year old Ellanora Baidoo who got a ruling from Manhattan Supreme Court that she can serve her dodging husband a divorce notice through a Facebook private message for three consecutives weeks or until he acknowledges her notice of divorce.

It is learnt that Baidoo’s spouse has no other official registered communication in his name and communicates only through social networks and phone. Hence Baidoo chose the social network to send divorce notice for husband Victor Sena Blood-Dzraku who has no address of his own or a job since 2011. This must be the first ever case where paper work is allowed through a social network.
