Sharwanand has been experimenting with different genres from the beginning of his career. The actor is now coming up with an action film, Bhogi. Directed by Sampath Nandi, the movie is scheduled for a November 12 release. The makers unveiled the teaser today.
The teaser showcases a village rising against an oppressive landlord, a Patel. In villages along the Telangana and Maharashtra border, the system of Patels ruling the area was once prevalent, and the movie is based on the atrocities committed under this system. Sharwanand plays a man who rises against their authority.
His transformation, new dialogue delivery, grip on the dialect and intense appearance give Bhogi the feel of a rural action drama. Sharwanand and Sampath Nandi have been promising a different presentation since the movie was announced, and the teaser offers a glimpse of their approach.
The visuals are carefully crafted, while the action sequences have a raw and rustic presentation. The emotional conflict behind the story also comes through in the teaser. Producer KK Radhamohan has backed Sampath Nandi’s vision on a considerable scale.
Leading lady Anupama Parameswaran makes an impression in the teaser, while Sharwanand’s dialogues stand out. The BGM by Bheems Ceciroleo complements the visuals. The Bhogi teaser offers a clearer look at what the film intends to deliver in theatres.
