Usually, the shooting footage of a star hero’s film is safeguarded with the strongest of measures. There are occasional hiccups when such footage gets leaked on social media. But this time, in a shocking development, the entire 21-days shooting footage of Superstar Rajinikanth’s recent film has gone missing.
Going into the story, Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the director of Rajini’s recent film Lal Salaam stated that 21-days shooting footage of the film went missing.
“This might sound unbelievable but 21 days shooting footage of our film went missing and the hard drives were nowhere to be seen. We shot a cricket match with 10-camera set up and it all went missing. So we had to work around this issue and re-edit the film” she said.
Aishwarya said the team was ready to re-shoot but all of the cast had gotten into new looks and it is logistically impossible and too cost-consuming to go back and shoot the lost footage.
A superstar’s film losing 21 days of footage is as shocking as it sounds and has possibly not happened with any star film, at least to this degree. Losing the hard drives of shooting footage is unheard of. Likewise, the film was a complete washout at the box office.
