Shocking TRP For NBK’s GPS

The 100th film of Nandamuri Balakrishna, Gautamiputra Satakarni, made way to cinemas earlier in the year for Sankranthi. Thanks to the tax breaks, decent reviews, and Sankranthi holidays, the film did okay theatrically.

But, it was a different case altogether when it came to Television viewing. Gautamiputra Satakarni had its Television premiere recently on the occasion of Ugadi, and the ratings have been shockingly abysmal for a big star like Balakrishna. GPS has garnered only 5.5 TRP.

It just shows how people haven’t liked the period movie despite the presence of a suitable star for the genre and helmed by a critically acclaimed director. In comparison, Legend had a TRP of 11.27.
