Sister Reacts On Scandalous Rumor On Alia Bhatt

A few decades ago, Alia Bhatt’s father made a scandalous statement that if his elder daughter, Pooja Bhatt, wasn’t his daughter, he would have married her. In those days, this statement caused a lot of furor in the media.

Cut to the present, Pooja Bhatt has responded to the ongoing rumors regarding Alia Bhatt being her daughter, dismissing them as ‘idiotic.’ She expressed her frustration, saying, “In our country, it’s an old practice to talk about somebody’s relationship with their family members. So now, how do you counteract that? Is there any dignity in responding to it? It’s absurd.”

Alia Bhatt had previously addressed this rumor on Karan Johar’s chat show years ago. When asked about the most ridiculous rumor she’d heard about herself, she mentioned the false report that claimed she was Mahesh Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt’s daughter.

To clarify, Pooja Bhatt is the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt and Kiran Bhatt, while Alia Bhatt is her half-sister, being the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt and his second wife, Soni Razdan.
