The Indian cinema has always managed to turn the traditional into trendy and the backless choli is one of those trends. This ethnic wear which came into fashion really long time back and even today it is being sported by young actresses like Sonam Kapoor. This young celebrity wore a backless choli on the sets of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa (dance reality show) designed by none other than Anamika Khanna.
According to Khanna, the designer of Kapoor’s black and white choli, backless cholis are timeless but she altered it a little bit to give it a Western look. As we see, the front of the choli is an embroidered white color while the back is black in color and made of a stronger fabric.
She also says that it is nice to blend the traditional with the modern. Anamika is also glad that Sonam carried it off with ease and elegance.
