Spirit: Even Sandeep Vanga Needs Paid Promotions?

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit is once again in the spotlight, this time for the wrong reasons. The film’s latest dialogue promo, featuring Prabhas, has created a storm after one particular line described him as “India’s Biggest Superstar.” The statement has divided opinions and triggered heated debates online.

Fans of Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan have questioned how Sandeep Vanga can make such a claim. Many took to social media to express disappointment, calling it unnecessary and exaggerated. Others pointed out that Spirit’s promo is being run as a sponsored ad on YouTube, adding fuel to the criticism.

Screenshots showing the video appearing as a paid promotion on YouTube’s homepage went viral, prompting users to question why a film featuring “India’s Biggest Superstar” needs paid visibility. Some even accused the makers of lacking confidence in their content and relying too much on marketing hype.

At the same time, a few users have defended the move, saying paid promotions are a standard part of today’s film marketing. Most production houses, including big studios, use YouTube ads to increase reach and build awareness. There’s nothing unethical about it, but the backlash shows how sensitive audience perception has become around self-proclaimed titles and marketing claims.

Whatever the debate, Spirit continues to draw attention. The combination of Sandeep Vanga’s aggressive storytelling style and Prabhas’s massive popularity ensures that expectations remain sky-high for this high-voltage project.
