Director’s Mega Web Series For Netflix

Director Karuna Kumar who made his debut with a raw and rustic drama like Palasa 1978 is working on a script for a web series that will be made by Netflix. The director has revealed that it is like a mega web series and is coming close to twenty episodes.

Twenty episodes mean it will be the lengthiest web series in Telugu to date. It is not so easy to hold the interest of the audience for so long. But Netflix has trusted the director and gave him full freedom. The finer details of the project are yet to come.

Palasa has was one of the earliest digital releases after the COVID arrived and was very well received on Amazon Prime Video. Probably that has impressed the OTT giant and got him on board. Meanwhile, Karuna Kumar’s second film, Sridevi Soda Center will be in theaters from tomorrow (August 27th).

While Palasa is set in Srikakulam district, Sridevi Soda Center is set in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.
