Not interested in ‘Manam’ remake?

A film like ‘Manam’ can’t be remade with any actor who chooses to do so. There should be a well established family with two or three generations of actors in the field. If Suriya has to make a movie, involving the actors from his family, will he remake ‘Manam’?

Suriya certainly wants to do a film involving the actors from his family. His father Sivakumar is a popular and reputed character artist. However he doesn’t want to remake ‘Manam’ in Tamil with his father/family as he thinks recreating the same magic might not be possible.

But if he doesn’t find a suitable script that suits his family, he will have no option but to think remaking ‘Manam’. Otherwise he doesn’t want to spoil the original film which is really a special film for the way Vikram beautifully handled so many characters with the theme of rebirth.
