So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that many big films start with the aim to have a Diwali release. It will be only closer to the release that we get a final picture, but initially, everyone is gung-ho about the date. We now have three biggies in Tamil cinema, a film of Suriya, Vijay and Ajith locked to have a Diwali release. As if these were not enough there is speculation that 2.0 is also looking at the festival release.

Amidst such high stakes situation, Suriya has made a bold first move. He is going to unveil the title and first look of his next on March 5th. The Diwali release stays as is it which means Suriya remains unfazed by the latest developments and is staying his course.
