Suriya’s surprise blast for cinematographer

Among the recent Padma awardees, cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Santosh Shivan was alone one. He received the Padma Shri award and had dedicated it to the graduates of film institute in Pune, who had proposed his name for the coveted award. Santosh, who is currently working on Suriya’s ‘Anjaan’, threw a surprise party for Santosh on Thursday.

Suriya and director Lingusamy had apparently organized the party in a private hotel in Mumbai. Sivan was taken along by Lingusamy to look for locations around the city when he was completely taken by surprise by the party idea by Suriya. Santosh was totally touched by the gesture of the team and felt very happy in that moment.

Anjaan also features Samantha Ruth Prabhu and several Bollywood actors like Manoj Bajpai, Vidyut Jamwal and Rajpal Yadav.

The release date for the film ‘Anjaan’ has been set on August 15th coinciding with the Independence day and the movie will be releases under the banners Thirrupathi Brothers by Lingusamy and UTV Motion Pictures.
