Firstly, the producers can’t get the tax exemption for ‘U’ certified films as the government cannot pass any GO for the movies. Secondly, the producers will be in a fix to carry heavy amounts as police operations will be full on to snatch money and curb money distribution for political purposes.

So the big producers want permission to carry 5-10 lakhs and small producers 2-5 lakhs for movie making purposes. The producers of Vijay’s ‘Theri’, Rajnikanth’s ‘Kabali’, and Suriya’s ’24’ and many others are among those films which are caught in the fix presently.
