In an interesting turn of events, the TDP hierarchy appears to have decided to field late Nandamuri Tarakaratna’s wife Alekhya Reddy from Gudivada constituency.
As per Telugu media reports, the TDP top brass opines that there’s no better chance at winning Gudivada than fielding a Nandamuri family member. They see Alekhya as the right bet for the same.
Right when Tarakaratna was turning active in politics, he sadly lost his life. The TDP opines that Tarakaratna’s aspirations can now be taken forward by Alekhya.
Apparently, Nandamuri Balakrishna is also in approval of the same and he too referred Alekhya’s name for Gudivada candidature.
More clarity is expected to emerge in this regard following the TDP Mahanadu that is to be held very soon. There are reports that Alekhya could be announced as TDP candidate from Gudivada at the Mahanadu? Will that turn out to be the case? We shall wait and see. For now, these are just rumors and there’s clear confirmation of the same.
