Tollywood saw a fair few theatrical outings in October and here’s a report on the box office performance of these films.
Chiranjeevi’s GodFather, despite the decent word of mouth, has turned out to be a dud in terms of box office returns. It went nowhere close to the claimed pre release business of Rs 90 crores.
The Ghost has turned out to be an epic disaster by failing to collect even Rs 5 crores. Same with Swathi Muthyam. Despite the okayish word of mouth, it turned out to be a disaster.
Then comes Kantara which has turned out to become a huge blockbuster. The makers stated it grossed over Rs 30 crores in the Telugu states.
Sardar has also emerged as a hit in the Telugu states as it was sold for a moderate price. Ori Devuda, which opened to average word of mouth is slowly inching towards profits.
Prince, which is directed by Jathi Ratnalu fake Anudeep marks Sivakarthikeyan’s Telugu debut was sold for a modest price but it has still turned out to be a flop. Ginna went nowhere at the box office right from day 1.
Kantara is the only real box office blockbuster in October and Sardar has nee termed profits zone. Ori Devuda is slowly going towards profits zone. Rest are all epic disasters or flops.
