Nithiin has been struggling to deliver a solid hit for the past few years. Trade circles had high hopes that his recent film Robinhood, released on March 28, would finally bring him back on the success track. However, the movie turned out to be a washout.
Nithiin and director Venky Kudumula couldn’t recreate that magic of Bheeshma with Robinhood. Now, all hopes are pinned on his upcoming film Thammudu.

So far, Nithiin has had six consecutive flops, and even before that, he had a string of three more disasters. This makes Thammudu a very crucial film for his career.
Interestingly, producer Dil Raju, who gave Nithiin one of his biggest early hits with Dil, is producing this film. Though their second outing Srinivasa Kalyanam didn’t work well, Dil Raju is determined to make Thammudu a success.

Directed by Vakeel Saab fame Sriram Venu, Thammudu was originally planned for a February release but got postponed due to delays in Robinhood.
Now, Dil Raju is aiming to release Thammudu on July 4, and an official announcement is expected soon.

The partnership between Nithiin and Dil Raju is quite strong, regardless of box office results. In fact, Dil Raju is already planning another film with Nithiin titled Yellamma, to be directed by Balagam fame Venu.
With music composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath and cinematography by K.V. Guhan, Thammudu carries a significant burden to deliver. The pressure is especially high for Nithiin.
While he may still land projects after this, a flop here could push him further back in the race. It would also impact the box office potential of his future films.
The film shares its title with Pawan Kalyan’s iconic hit Thammudu. That alone brings an added weight of expectations. Whether this project will mark a turning point in Nithiin’s career or end up being another setback remains to be seen.
