Gone are the days movies of stars will be made in modest budgets. Today the remunerations of heroes itself are being more than the budget of 5-10 small movies combined. Adding to this, directors themselves are taking no less. And now comes the tricky part, the movie should have an item song with a Bollywood beauty and over the moon. Best example is a star movie currently being shot in Europe. The producer reportedly is particular about having an item number in the movie which is supposed to be a family entertainer. And the director wants an intro sequence in which the actor descends from a chopper and smash the goons.
All this only to satisfy the unnecessary egos and fantasies of few people which only leads to the increase in the movie budget. Which further increases the risk margins for distributors and exhibitors.
