As not many Telugu or Hindi biggies are out this weekend, the focus of the audience has shifted to what’s happening on the OTT platforms. Some, new films, web series, and other documentaries have come out and only a few have made a mark.
Three of those good web series that can be binge-watched this weekend are The Great Indian Murder(Hotstar) Rocket Boys(Sony Liv) and Reacher(English-Amazon prime). All these three series have won decent applause and have solid production values.
Reacher is an American Web Series based on Jack Reacher, a former U.S. Army military policeman, who gets embroiled in fighting against a criminal conspiracy after getting arrested for a crime he didn’t commit. The show has eight episodes and stars Alan Ritchson, Malcolm Goodwin, Willa Fitzgerald, Chris Webster, Bruce McGill, Maria Sten.
On the other hand, The Great Indian Murder is produced by Ajay Devgn, and noted filmmaker Thigmanshu Dhulia directs it. Starring Pratik Gandhi, Ashutosh Rana, and Richa Chadha, this series is an impressive thriller set in the backdrop of Delhi and Chattisgarh. A top politician’s son gets killed and the case is transferred to the CBI. The show has eight episodes and is well made.
Lastly, the much-hyped Rocket Boys on Sony Liv is also one show that will impress you with its storytelling. Created by Nikhil Advani, the show is based on the journey of scientists Dr. Homi J Bhaba and Dr. Vikram Sarabhai. The series’ basic plot is how these incredible minds came together, became friends, and helped Independent India in its nuclear and space mission.
