Salman Khan’s much-hyped film Tiger 3 is doing reasonable business due to the Diwali festive season. The word-of-mouth, however, isn’t that positive which might result in a fall of collections post-Wednesday.
The biggest flaw of the film is that nothing excites or entertains the audience much in the film except for a cameo and a few action sequences. Apart from that, Katrina Kaif as the heroine also doesn’t create any impact as Zoya in the film.
In Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai, Katrina looked beautiful and also had an impactful role. But in Tiger 3, she isn’t that impressive. She looks tired and her face just doesn’t look right. The much-talked-about towel scene also falls flat in the movie. She does well in some action scenes but her chemistry with Salman Khan just doesn’t work.
In contrast, Deepika Padukone in Pathaan made a solid impact. Her controversial bikini act in Besharam Rang was sizzling and she actually kicked some serious ass in that film. Her glamor, screen presence, and chemistry with Shah Rukh Khan also made Pathaan entertaining.
Spy films demand heroines who ooze oomph, share scintillating chemistry with the hero or villain, and can hold their own in action scenes, reminiscent of the James Bond franchise. Deepika Padukone excelled in these aspects in Pathaan, whereas Katrina Kaif seemed to lack that spark, perhaps attributed to a weak script and direction.
