Megastar Chiranjeevi has built up a liking for remakes and the fact that two of his last three films – Godfather and Bholaa Shankar are remakes clearly proves the same.
Notably, even hardcore mega fans aren’t pleased with the choice of films of Chiru. While Chiru says that he wants to do commercial films for his fans, the follower base themselves are not pleased with him doing films like Bholaa Shankar.
On the other hand, other language seniors like Rajini and Kamal are doing films with elite league young directors like Lokesh Kanagaraj and Nelson. Today, Rajini announced the film with Lokesh and it has already become talk of the town.
Fans are wanting Chiru to do films with truly talented directors who have the filmmaking skills and also the grip over commercial storytelling, like for instance someone like Sukumar, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and others.
It has gotten to a point where Chiru’s film are losing interest right from the day they are announced(like in the case of Bholaa Shankar) and the onus is on the matinee idol to make shift.
Perhaps Chiru should take a cue from Rajini and start working with fully capable directors who can excite the audience. This is where Chiru could take a lesson and act accordingly.
