Toilet jokes allowed uncut in megastar’s movie

Some film makers make bold films which touch the unconventional themes irking Central Board of Film Certification to the exent that instead of acting as a certifying body, CBFC crosses the border to act as a censoring body dictating rules, regulations and suggesting cuts. One such film maker is Shoojit Sircar but a very fortunate one.

His latest film ready for release is ‘Piku’ starring megastar Amitabh Bachan, Deepika Padukone and Irfan Khan. Like he was lucky for his previous film ‘Madras Cafe’ in which steamy bold scenes between Raashi Khanna and John Abraham went uncut, his toilet jokes in ‘Piku’ didn’t budge to the censor cuts.

These days when there is a growing unrest amongst film makers on CBFC for crossing the thin border misunderstanding certifying for censoring, Shoojit Sircar is one film maker who is happy with the working style of the present Censor Board for awarding his film U/A and letting his toilet jokes go uncut.
